Election Year - How Will Markets Respond?
Historically, markets behave differently in election years than they do in non-election years. This year’s Presidential race is one of the more notable in recent history.
With the recent stock market correction (some would argue that it is not a correction and that it is a bona fide downtrend), the housing market crisis, inflation pressure (largely due to commodity and energy prices) and the US Dollar at historically low levels, will the impact of the Presidential Election this year be as influential on the stock market as it has been historically?

If the market expects Obama to win the white house, then the approach to and ability to solve the problems in today’s world will be markedly different than the approach taken by McCain. Therefore, I have to conclude that one of the candidates is better for the stock market - I’m just not sure which one that would be!
